Under the stars and inside the oval at Kansas Speedway, The University of Kansas Health System’s Treads & Threads is an annual black-tie gala benefiting cancer patient care.
Emerald City has had the honor of performing at this event for over 6 years now. Each year it just keeps getting better and better. This year’s warm up act was Andy Grammer. With hits like “Honey, I’m Good” and “Keep Your Head Up”, Andy was the perfect warm up before Emerald City took the stage.

Vitruvian Nights is one of the best FREE concert series in the DFW area. Located at a beautiful amphitheater at Vitruvian Park in Addison, TX, it is a perfect location for families and friends to enjoy some of Dallas’ best live music.
Emerald City Band was first scheduled to play this event a few weeks back and were unsuccessful, as Mother Nature had her way. So on this night, ECB was ready to come out with a bang.
The energy was so high, the weather was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to spend our night with. Looking forward to many more gorgeous summer nights in Dallas, playing music for the people we love.
The Cattle Baron’s Ball is a single-night fundraiser for cancer research benefiting the American Cancer Society. The first Cattle Baron’s Ball was held in 1974 at the Star Brand Ranch and raised $56,000. In 2009, the Cattle Baron’s Ball at South Fork Ranch raised $3.5 million. As of 2017, they have raised over 71,000,000 dollars towards cancer research.
Over the 35+ year history, The Cattle Baron’s Ball has had artists such as Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Waylon Jennings, Brooks and Dunn Clint Black, Dwight Yoakam, Big and Rich, Toby Keith just to name a few.
Emerald City was excited to be among the great musicians chosen for such an amazing event. The V8 Ranch in Lubbock, TX was an incredible venue for one of this year’s parties. With beautiful weather, amazing food, a full bar and everyone dressed in thier country attire, these guests were ready to party the night away.
Restless Heart took the stage first to warm up the crown before Emerald City finished off the night with a bang.
Emerald City was honored to headline the 15th Annual Hurst Stars and Stripes 4th of July Celebration. ECB took the stage following an incredible performance by Infinite Journey, a Journey tribute band.
Emerald City opened their show with a beautiful rendition of God Bless America, sung by one of our female vocalists, Taylor Phillips. The crowd went nuts, and their energy continued through the entire hour and a half concert. The night ended with a gorgeous fireworks display by the City of Hurst.
What a way to jumpstart the holiday weekend! The Fourth of July is one of our favorite times of the year because we have so many opportunities to interact with all of our fans out there. The City of Murphy keeps inviting Emerald City out, year after year, because we bring the crowds, and we bring the party!
The City of Allen celebrated Independence Day early by throwing one of DFW’s biggest summer parties!! With over 82,000 people in attendance, this event surpassed ANY expectations that were to be had. Le Freak warmed up the crowd before Emerald City took the stage as the headliner.
The energy was incredible, the fans were unbelievable and the weather could not have been any more perfect. The phenomenal thirty minute fireworks display was the PERFECT end to the night. The City of Allen, TX really outdid themselves.
More than three years after the groundbreaking, developers formally opened Plano’s $3 billion Legacy West development on Friday, and of course, they asked Emerald City to help celebrate!
Wow. That is the first word that comes to mind to describe how amazing this event was. It is always a great time when we have a public performance and get the chance to interact with our fans! The crowd was pumped, the energy was high, and despite the small amount of rain, everyone stuck around until the end.
