We have been looking back at over 37 years of highlights, events, people, and places we have been and reflecting on it all.  We’ve collected so many photos, and video over the years and we thought, why not share those experiences with our family and friends.

Dallas Mavericks | Mark Cuban – Episode 1

In episode 1 of Memories from the Shoebox we look back at the days when Emerald City Band performed at all Mavericks home games.  Emerald City’s Bassist Dwayne Heggar goes on a zoom call with Deno remembering not only performing at those games but also as Mark Cuban’s wedding band.

The White House | President George and Laura Bush – Episode 2

In episode 2 of Memories from the Shoebox we look back at  Emerald City Band 2 performances at the White House.  Emerald City’s Trumpet man Jim Foster goes on a zoom call with Deno looking at videos and remembering the fantastic times performing at the congressional ball, twice.

Treads & Threads – Kansas City – Episode 3

In episode 3 of Memories from the Shoebox we look at this amazing fundraiser for The University of Kansas Cancer Center.  Emerald City Band has been playing Treads & Threads for the last 10 years and each year there is an opening act that performs before Emerald City.  Over the years ECB has performed with Huey Lewis, Martina McBride, Kacey Musgrave, Train, REO Speedwagon, Big and Rich,  Barenaked Ladies, and Gavin Degraw.

Cinco De Mayo 1989 – Episode 4

In episode 4 of Memories from the Shoebox we look way back to Cinco De Mayo 1989, Lee Park.  We get to look at a video performance of some of the original players of this iconic band.

Drew Pearson – Episode 5: Part 1

In episode 5 of Memories from the Shoebox we go on a zoom call with none other than the original #88 Drew Pearson, football legend from Dallas Cowboys and part of their Ring of Honor.  He has been a friend of Emerald City Band from the beginning and we talked Cowboys, and the his Ring of Honor party ECB played at. 

Drew Pearson – Episode 5: Part 2

In episode 5 – part 2 of Memories from the Shoebox we continue our zoom call with none other than the original #88 Drew Pearson, football legend from Dallas Cowboys and part of their Ring of Honor.  There was so much juice in the first call that we needed to separate it out into another memory.  This time we talk about his football career and working with him on Susan G Komen events,, and maybe a little known fact about who his high school quarterback was.

Nerium Whiteout Party – Episode 6

In episode 6 of Memories from the Shoebox we go to the Nerium White Out Party with 35,000 people from all over the world at the American Airline Center.

The History of ECB – Episode 7  Part 1

In episode 7 of Memories from the Shoebox we go back to the beginning where it all started.  Deno tells how he got into music and created Emerald City Band.

The History of ECB – Episode 7  Part 2 The 80’s

In episode 7 part 2 of Memories from the Shoebox we start in the 80’s when the band got it’s start.  This is the birth of Emerald City Band and the early years.

The History of ECB – Episode 7  Part 3 The 90’s

In episode 7 part 3 of Memories from the Shoebox, it’s the 90’s and Emerald City is starting to become big in not only the DFW area but performing around the country.

The History of ECB – Episode 7  Part 4 – The 2000s

In episode 7 part 4 of Memories from the Shoebox, it’s the 2000s  and Emerald City is getting bigger and better.

In episode 7 part 5 of Memories from the Shoebox, it’s 2010-2020 and Emerald City is starting to become a brand, larger events and larger venues. 

Billy Rodriquez – Episode 9   

We were lucky to have an audio engineer like Billy Rodriquez, we celebrate he life in the episode of Memories from the Shoebox. 

Mike Doocy – Sportswave 1994 – Episode 9

In episode 9 of Memories from the Shoebox, we revisit the live TV Show “Sportswave” Emerald City performed on in 1994, with now Fox Sports Mike Doocy and a lot of Dallas Cowboy stars and coaches.  

Brady Tinker – Sportsbeat  Episode 10

In episode 10 of Memories from the Shoebox, we revisit the live TV Show we produced the opening for “Sportsbeat” with Brady Tinker.

Detroit Eastern Market – Ladies Forum – Episode 11

In episode 11 of Memories from the Shoebox, we revisit a show we performed in 2018 for the Ladies Forum in Detroit’s Historic Eastern Market .
